Community Meal & Care

Every second Thursday of every month, we host a community donation event where we serve a free hot meal to anyone in need. Along with the meal, we provide clothing, toiletries, and snack bags filled with easy grab and go items. Our goal is to meet practical needs while creating a welcoming space where everyone feels valued and supported.

Located in two different locations:

Newark: St. Vincent De Paul thrift store parking lot on Main Street.

200 E Main St, Newark, OH 43055

Brownsville: Located in the community center on Highway 40.

15508 4th St, Brownsville, OH 43721

Note: Only the hot meal is able to be provided at the Brownsville location in the current timeframe

Clean Up Crew

Clean Up Crew is another event ILMC holds on Saturdays. Clean Up Crew is a trash clean-up event, where volunteers come together to pick up litter, remove debris, and help restore public spaces throughout our city. We focus on parks, neighborhoods, streets, and other areas that need extra care and attention.

By working side by side, we help create cleaner, safer, and more welcoming spaces for everyone. Through small acts of service, we make a visible difference and show love to our city in a practical way.

Lunch for Local Teachers

During this event, we show appreciation to local teachers by delivering meals and encouragement directly to their schools.

Our team provides food as a tangible way to say thank you for the time, care, and dedication teachers pour into our community’s students every day.

Through this act of service, we aim to support and uplift those who invest so much into the next generation.

Community Response & Support

In addition to our regular outreach events, ILMC mobilizes volunteers to serve our city in unique and timely ways. From organizing parking teams for major community events like the Geller Park fireworks, to stepping in during times of crisis, we are committed to showing up wherever help is needed.

In 2024, ILMC assembled a trailer full of relief supplies and sent it to assist with cleanup efforts following Hurricane Helen. Whether supporting local events or responding to disaster relief efforts, we are ready to serve. We strive to meet practical needs and stand with our community in moments that matter most.
